About us

Wanting to continue and popularize the craft of traditional weaving but also to help the categories of disadvantaged people in rural areas where the main activity is agriculture, at the initiative of the Metropolitan of Oltenia, inside the Annunciation Monastery in Gradinari village, Olt County, were organized qualification courses in the traditional profession of weaver-restorer, under the exceptional guidance of some professionals in the field.

Among the students were several people who currently work in our workshop, people who understood their purpose to preserve and transmit the art of traditional weaving.
